This Sunday at Mayfair, we talked about who we are and why we’re here.
Graduation season is upon us, and to honor our high school senior, Jared (our Youth Minster) stepped onto the stage today. He showed us the fiddle his grandfather gave him and reminded us that, much like a violin, our immeasurable worth comes from our Maker. He also brought some dominoes on stage to remind us how God intends to use His masterpieces. God doesn’t expect us to do all the work (He’s done most of it Himself already) but He does offer us the opportunity to push the first domino in the chain—all it takes is open eyes and a willing heart.
Jared’s message left us with a simple plan: be ready for moments God asks us to do something seemingly small in His name, and watch the dominoes fall from there. It was one of those straightforward and honest messages that leave us with not with so many words, but with a sense of hope and a willingness for whatever God has in store.
