The Mayfair Children’s Ministry is a partner for families who are training their children in Godly ways. Our ministry at Mayfair is not a program, but an intimate community of family.
Bible classes and our Children’s Worship and Toddlers’ worship are designed to help children learn and practice spiritual information and spiritual formation. Please find a Mayfair staff member to assist you in locating your child's classroom.
Sunday Morning 9AM
Nursery (birth-18 months)
Toddlers (18 months-36 months)
Preschool (3 years-5 years)
2nd grade-5th grade
An attended nursery is available for children birth-2 years old. Our loving nursery teams help care for children, or parents may use the nursery for any other childcare needs.
Toddlers’ Worship is for two- and three-year-olds. It is an age-appropriate setting to engage in activities focused on learning more about the Bible.
Children’s Worship is for ages 4-1st grade. During this time children are invited to engage in age appropriate activities that focus on spiritual formation such as singing, praying, reading and responding to the Bible story, practicing Biblical knowledge and memorization, and learning about our church family and faith tradition.
Children meet with their families in small groups in different homes.
Wednesday Evening 7PM
Nursery (birth-18 months)
Toddlers (18 months-36 months)/Preschool (3 years-5 years)
Your child’s safety is a priority and each volunteer is carefully screened. An adult family member may only pick up children from classes.
The nursery and classes for ages birth-Preschool are located on the 1st floor in the Matty Young Children’s Wing. Classes for children aged Pre-K-5th grade are located on the 2nd floor.
We try to equip families with resources and events that support them as the primary influence in their children’s spiritual journey. Some of these events include:
In January we recognize our babies born in the previous year. This is a time for families to come in front of the congregation and dedicate themselves to raising their children in Godly ways. This is also an occasion for our Mayfair family to dedicate themselves as a congregation to helping families in raising their children in Godly ways.
Daddy/Daughter, Mother/Daughter, Father/Son, and Mother/Son Nights
Our parent/child events occur four times throughout the year, and are great opportunities for special bonding times with your children and to share advice or ask questions of other parents.
Easter Egg Hunt
Our traditional egg hunt after the Sunday morning Easter service occurs in our park (weather permitting).
We try to help provide families with opportunities to serve others. These have included gathering bilingual books and videos for The CASA, decorating and delivering cookies to the local fire department, collecting pajamas for Scholastic’s Great Bedtime Pajama Program and Citizens Caring for Children of OKC a foster resource center, sorting clothes for the clothing pantry, packing boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and Mayfair work days.
The last Sunday in August is devoted to recognizing our Toddlers-5th grade, and whether they’re promoting classes or into the youth group. This is a special time for our children to celebrate accomplishments over the last year and for our Mayfair family to celebrate with them.
Trunk or Treat
This is our family friendly fall community event. Mayfair families or groups pick a theme and decorate their trunk to pass out candy. The evening includes free food, games, candy, fellowship, and a trunk contest.
A tradition at Mayfair is our children’s Christmas program. We share the story of Jesus’ birth through music from our Toddlers-5th grade, and our nursery babies’ first Christmas wishes. A special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus tops off the night.
Mayfair Day Out
Tuesdays and Thursdays teachers meet with children ages 6 months-preschool to play, learn, and build friendships at the Mayfair building in a loving, Christian environment.
